Ever dreamed of one day chronicling your own experiences following the Reds?

Well now is your chance as the club has joined forces with the National Literacy Trust and Legends Publishing, to produce a new book which will reveal some of the most legendary Kopite stories that have emerged from your time following Liverpool FC.

'We Love You Liverpool We Do' will reflect the memories and experiences of Reds fans both old and young.

Following Liverpool at Anfield and on the road is a way of life for many and while managers and players will come and go, it is the fans who give permanent character to a club like ours.

In tribute to the remarkable lengths Reds go to in order to back the team, this book will reveal the fun, the absurd, the emotional, the peculiar and the unbelievable experiences that are part and parcel of supporting the club.

If you have a story or set of experiences about yourself, a family member, a neighbour or friend which you feel deserve to go into the book, please get in touch.

Likewise, if you know of a Kopite who has a unique tale or two to tell about following the Reds then pass this onto them to help ensure their anecdotes are passed down to future generations of supporters.

Either e-mail david@legendspublishing.net or vist www.tillidie.co.uk. Alternatively, you can post them to 18 Darby Crescent, Sunbury-on-Thames, TW16 5LA. The deadline is the end of August.

Story sessions will also be held at the Liverpool Study Centre as part of the memory-gathering process, details of which will be advertised in due course.

Funding for the project has been provided by the National Literacy Trust, Arts Council England, the Football Foundation and the Professional Footballers' Association.

As well as producing an entertaining read, the publication of this book will give a number of benefits to the club and to the community which they serve.

600 free copies of 'We Love You Liverpool We Do' will be distributed to local schools, libraries and community groups, strengthening the club's links with the local community and encouraging new generations of Liverpool fans.

It will present a picture of the changing history of being a supporter through the eyes of generations of fans and encourage a sense of belonging. It will be a positive representation of supporters' tradition, values and identities - it promises to be full of real football stories from real football fans.
